Not worth the Cost (even on sale) Must be a revised version of the Old model.. *no hyvent symbol and this is the mcmurdo 1 (came out many years ago before DRYVENT was even invented)* no metal strip in hood so flaps around in wind + no buttons to hold fur into place (icejacket has nice zip to it)* outer material nowhere near as durable as ice jacket hyvent* not even as light as i remember trying on in the shop, i thought it was fake at first (lighter = higher quality down)* has a hump of extra down near my upper back, it’s uncomfortable but my size is no longer in stock so im stuck with it really* only bought and using it since i dont have time to look elsewhere; my next coat will not be north face, no way!* on the above note, the prices are absurd for what you get, the mountain warehouse jacket at £80 is almost exactly the same, with the exception of a good quality front zipper (Arguably a primary feature, but could be replaced for about £10 )* pockets difficult to open and have cheap-Velcro connectors ( Old ice jacket…

Big and warm My second McMurdo Parker, some slight changes in positioning of pockets and the left hand inside pocket is no more, the parka is now longer which is good, it is extremely warm when teamed with lots of layers. For anyone who spends a lot of time outdoors it’s perfect

I’ve worn it in 0 degrees and it was toasty, despite my legs and face being cold. I can imagine wearing this jacket if my heating went down mid winter leaving me freezing. In fact, they should be given out to the elderly to help them stay warm during winter (Not gonna happen under austerity!)The sheer number of pockets means that you could keep your breakfast, lunch, and dinner on your person at all times, along with plenty of entertainment (not a victorian stick or hoop though… that’s too big.)It’s a long coat too, which, whilst making it harder to zip up (especially as the zip is on the opposite side to usual for a mens coat), your core is kept really warm. Polyester has…
